MANILA, Philippines — Santé International President and CEO Jesus Marcelo unveiled the company’s marketing thrust and corporate direction, saying it will concentrate on the sports and wellness industry for this year during its recently held awards night.
The awards night “Unang Salvo, Bonggang Milyonaryo” was attended by over 1,000 distributors from Metro Manila, Pangasinan, Batangas, Antipolo, and Mindanao. Santé International distributes young barley supplements sourced from New Zealand.
The firm recognized the top achievers for 2011, including business builders, franchisees, and network leaders. From among the top ten awardees, it named the year’s top three icons, based on the criteria of winning attitude, entrepreneurship, integrity, and leadership, namely, Leonardo Atlas, Gabriel Silaga, and Johnny Francisco. The others in the top ten were Edwin M. Guevarra, Joed Marketing, Joel V. Luyong, Venerando A. Giray Jr., Debbie L. Ledesma, Carlina Estrada, and Elenita O. Meniano.
Santé International also awarded “Biyaheng Milyonaryo” to qualified members who will have a one-week travel to New Zealand, where organic barley farms are located. The program also cited many distributors in “Promong Milyonaryo” who received laptops, iPads, notebooks, mobile phones, LCD projectors, printers, and a motorcycle, and a Rolex watch.
Peter Hope, general manager of Santé’s major supplier in New Zealand, explained how they produce and manufacture quality organic barley grass and stressed their commitment to comply with global standards.
The event also featured the launch of Santé International’s newest products — Santé ChocoBarley, a fusion of flavonoids-rich chocolates and young organic barley, and a cosmetic line of soap made of organic barley grass, papaya extract, and goat’s milk called C’est Bon. Dr. Rey Salinel, Santé’s medical consultant, lectured on the health benefits and advantages of Santé products.
The company launched a triathlon team which will represent the company in various competitions. The program also introduced a mascot for Santé named “Boy Milyonaryo.” A new theme song was sung by April Boy Regino. GMA 7 talent Julie Ann San Jose also graced the event with a number of songs.
A number to the tune of ‘I Believe I can Fly’ was sung by the top five Santé executives, namely, President and CEO Joey Marcelo, Chief Financial Officer Eric Maranan, Chief Marketing Officer Ronnie Pinon, Chief Operating Officer and Product and Research Director Minette Carag, and Director for Network Development Paul Caluag.
